Reiki is the Japanese phrase for “universal life energy.” The Usui System of Reiki Healing is a hands-on healing practice (if you are uncomfortable with actual touch Reiki can still be done effectively). Reiki – universal life energy – is channeled through the practitioner’s hands for self-treatment or treatment of others. The result of receiving Reiki is enhanced health and well-being: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Reiki enhances and assists daily living through supporting health, assisting in making choices, and can serve as a spiritual and moral guide. Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things.

Reiki Practitioners understand that everyone has the ability to connect with their own healing energy and use it to strengthen energy in themselves and help others.

To receive reiki healing you can do in-person or Telehealth sessions. In-person the practitioner can either place their hands above your body a few inches or directly on your body to allow the energy to flow more directly. For Telehealth the practitioner will sit with you on the call and place their hands on the computer. There is silence for the entire healing.

A session is pleasant and relaxing and is often utilized for one’s personal wellness, from alleviating mental health burdens to reducing physical and emotional pain.

It is believed that a person’s “ki” or energy should be strong and free flowing. When this is true, a person’s body and mind are in a positive state of health. When the energy becomes weak or blocked it could lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance.

A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help support the body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional.
